    Version History

    What's New

ClubTuned ships often. Here's what changed in each release, written for collectors — not a developer changelog.

    1. v1.43.1

      Current
      August 27, 2026

      One clean Original Retail line

Original Retail now appears exactly once on a vehicle page, whatever the source of the confirmed price.

      • Releases with a confirmed legacy retail price no longer show the same amount twice in the Valuation card.
      • Chase releases still show no original retail at all, and unconfirmed releases stay blank instead of guessed.
    2. v1.43.0

      August 27, 2026

Original Retail is back on vehicle pages

Vehicle pages now show what a release originally cost, clearly labelled as historical retail — separate from your own value and from ClubTuned market intelligence.

      • Known standard releases show an Original Retail line with where it was sold, so you can see the release price at a glance.
      • Lifted Series 1 standard vehicles are recorded at $8.99 at Target, and the remaining Walgreens singles at $5.99.
      • Original Retail is historical provenance only — it is never presented as what a piece is worth today.
      • Your own saved value always wins. Nothing you entered is ever overwritten or replaced by a default.
      • Red Bottom and Double Dripped never inherit a standard release price, and releases we haven't confirmed stay blank instead of guessed.
      • Collection totals now count a known release price when you haven't set your own value, so owned pieces stop showing as $0.
    3. v1.42.1

      August 27, 2026

Market ranges held back until the evidence earns them

We're keeping ClubTuned market ranges off vehicle pages a little longer while we gather and hand-review real sold-market history for every exact piece.

      • A market number is worthless if the evidence behind it is thin, so nothing is shown until it holds up.
      • We're seeding at least 90 days of completed sold results across every CarTuned release — Standard, Red Bottom, Double Dripped, exclusives, event pieces, rigs and packs.
      • Every external sold result stays a candidate until an authorized reviewer approves it. Asking prices never count.
      • Your contributions keep counting: what you paid, and what you think a piece is worth, are still being collected privately.
      • Value history will only ever come from real recorded snapshots — nothing is backfilled to manufacture a trend.
    4. v1.42.0

      August 27, 2026

      ClubTuned Market Intelligence goes live

Vehicle pages now show a ClubTuned market range for the exact piece you're looking at — but only when the verified evidence genuinely supports one.

      • A range comes first, always. A single typical value only appears when the evidence is strong enough to justify it.
      • Standard, Red Bottom and Double Dripped are separate pieces, and sealed/carded is priced separately from loose. Nothing is ever averaged together.
      • When there isn't enough evidence yet, we say so plainly instead of inventing a number.
      • Value history is drawn only from real recorded snapshots — no trend line appears until there is enough history to mean something.
      • "Appreciated" and the rarer "Hot" indicator are earned: they need verified sales above original retail, and Hot also needs measured upward movement.
      • Only anonymized, aggregated evidence is ever shown — never a contributor, an individual amount, or anyone's private purchase price.
      • Your own saved values are untouched. Market intelligence is informational and never rewrites what you recorded for your copies.
    5. v1.41.0

      August 27, 2026

      ClubTuned Market Intelligence starts listening

When you manage a piece you can now optionally share what you paid for it and what you think it's worth today — the first step toward real market intelligence built from collectors, not guesses.

      • Optional and skippable: every question has a plain "Prefer not to say", and skipping is never penalized.
      • Your amounts stay private by default. Contributing to market intelligence is a separate, explicit opt-in that only ever shares an anonymized amount — never your name, your collection, or your history.
      • Change your mind any time: turning contribution off retires everything you previously shared.
      • What you think a piece is worth is kept as market context only — opinions never move a value.
      • Standard, Red Bottom and Double Dripped — and sealed versus loose — are always tracked as separate exact pieces.
      • No calculated values, ranges, trends or status badges are shown yet, and contributing never sends you an email or a text.
    6. v1.40.0

      August 26, 2026

A mobile menu that makes sense

The signed-in mobile menu is now organized around what you actually do — your collection, your hunt, the catalog, the marketplace, and the community — instead of one long mixed list.

      • Everything is grouped under four clear sections — Mine, Hunt, Marketplace, and Community — with Catalog as a single plain link.
      • Places you couldn't reach on mobile before are now in the menu: Friends (with a pending-requests count), Find collectors, Wanted, What's Missing, Selling, Orders, and your full Notifications history.
      • Your name and role sit at the top with Smart Search right below, and account actions live in a quiet band at the bottom: Edit profile for your public profile, Account & privacy for sign-in, privacy and notification settings.
      • The menu now scrolls inside the screen on shorter phones instead of running off the bottom.
    7. v1.39.0

      August 26, 2026

      A simpler Community

Community is now one clean feed with a few meaningful filters instead of a long list of empty categories.

      • The old Topics sidebar is gone; filter the feed with compact chips: All, Discussion, Questions, and Customs.
      • Retired empty categories that duplicated stronger parts of ClubTuned — buying and selling belongs in the Marketplace, and meetups belong in Events.
      • Activity and Find collectors are still one tap away, now in a slim card at the top of Community.
      • Sorting (Latest, Hot, Discussed) works exactly as before, and no posts were removed.
    8. v1.38.0

      August 26, 2026

Messages you can actually get to

The chat icon in the header now opens a full recent-chats panel, and the Messages page reads like a proper workspace with your conversation, the thread, and its context side by side.

      • Header chat icon opens a tall, scrollable list of your recent conversations with names, previews, times and unread counts.
      • Search your conversations and people right from that panel, or start a new message without leaving the page.
      • On desktop, Messages now shows your conversation list, the open thread, and a context column with the member's profile link and any listing or ownership question the chat came from.
      • Green dots still only appear when a member is genuinely online right now — never guessed from when they last wrote.
      • Narrower screens tuck the context column away, and phones keep the simple list-then-thread flow.
    9. v1.37.1

      August 26, 2026

      Notification panel scrolls properly again

The compact notification panel now scrolls through everything that needs you instead of cutting the list off at the bottom.

      • Longer notification lists scroll inside the panel, so no unread notice is stuck out of reach.
      • "Mark all read" and "See all notifications" stay pinned and tappable while you scroll.
    10. v1.37.0

      August 26, 2026

The bell now means "here's what needs you"

Your notification bell is a current-attention inbox instead of an archive: the number always matches what you can actually find in the panel.

      • The badge count and the panel now agree exactly, and every unread notice is reachable by scrolling.
      • Unread notices stand out, sit at the top newest-first, and read ones are visibly quieter.
      • Opening a notice takes you straight to it and marks it read; opening the underlying conversation settles the matching notice for you.
      • Notices you have already dealt with drop out of the compact panel on their own, and stay available on the full Notifications page.
    11. v1.36.2

      August 26, 2026

      Stronger protection for reported photos

Only ClubTuned moderators can change the moderation status of a member photo, and every change is recorded.

      • A photo that has been hidden by moderation can no longer be un-hidden, edited or re-shared by its owner.
      • Report counts and moderation history are now tamper-proof for members.
      • You keep full control of captions, ordering and visibility on your own photos that are not under review.
    12. v1.36.1

      August 26, 2026

      Quiet days stay quiet

Summary emails only arrive when there is something real to tell you — a quiet day now means no email at all.

      • No "nothing happened today" emails: if there is no new activity worth reporting, ClubTuned stays silent.
      • If activity is read, removed or no longer relevant before a summary goes out, the email is dropped instead of arriving empty.
      • The same rule now applies to every current and future summary email.
    13. v1.36.0

      August 26, 2026

One daily summary of activity on your posts

Likes, comments and replies on your posts now arrive as a single once-a-day summary email instead of a stream of individual notices.

      • One email per day at most, no matter how much activity you get — reactions are grouped by the post, comment or listing they landed on.
      • Anything you already read in your notifications is left out, and if you catch up before the summary sends, it isn't sent at all.
      • Removed or moderated content, and activity from members you've blocked, never appear in the summary.
      • The summary carries counts and your own post titles only — never who reacted, their comment text or anyone's contact details.
      • Turning off like, comment or reply notifications turns the summary off too.
    14. v1.35.0

      August 26, 2026

Email reminders for messages and connections

ClubTuned can now email you when someone messages you or wants to connect, with strict limits so an active conversation never floods your inbox.

      • Message reminders are grouped per conversation, so a burst of replies is at most one email — and none at all if you already read the thread.
      • Connection requests and accepted connections now send a branded reminder that links straight to the member's garage.
      • Fixed a reminder that could be skipped for the very first message in a brand-new conversation.
      • Every reminder respects blocks, your notification preferences and a firm daily ceiling, and never includes message text or personal contact details.
    15. v1.34.0

      August 25, 2026

What's Missing, simplified and in catalog order

What's Missing now answers one question — what don't I own? — and lists the results the way the catalog reads: Line, then Series, then car number.

      • Results are grouped under Line and Series headers and ordered by release number, so you can work a real series through in order instead of scrolling a flat list.
      • Car numbers sort properly now: #2 comes before #10.
      • We removed the Owned, Wanted and Everything filters we added a few weeks ago. They made you decode two filter rows before reading a single card, and each one already has a better home — My Collection, your Hunt List and the Catalog.
      • One clear control replaces the old rows: Showing — Series I've started, Lines I collect or Whole catalog — plus the Standard / Red Bottom / Double Dripped version switch.
      • Established collectors now open on Series I've started, and your scope and version stay in the page address, so a reload or a shared link brings back exactly the list you were on.
      • Cars you marked as not collecting are reviewable at the bottom of the list, and Standard, Red Bottom and Double Dripped remain completely separate everywhere.
    16. v1.33.3

      August 25, 2026

      Database permission hardening

A review found the database was handing every visitor a low-level ability to delete whole tables at once — an ability that sidestepped all of our normal access rules. It has been removed everywhere.

      • Visitors and members can no longer wipe out entire tables, a capability that bypassed the per-member access rules protecting your collection, profile and orders.
      • Two related low-level abilities were removed as well, so nobody can attach their own hidden database routines to your data or probe private tables indirectly.
      • The fix covers every table in the database, and new tables are now created without these abilities from the start.
      • Nothing about using ClubTuned changes — normal reading, adding and editing of your own data works exactly as before.
    17. v1.33.2

      August 25, 2026

      Marketplace listing safeguards

Moderation decisions, listing ownership and report counts on a Marketplace listing are now locked to the platform, so a seller cannot quietly change them.

      • A listing that has been hidden for review can no longer be un-hidden, rewritten or moved to another storefront by its seller.
      • Report counts are now calculated from the reports actually on record, so they cannot be faked or wiped.
      • View and like counts on a listing can no longer be edited by hand.
      • Selling normally is unchanged: you still edit your own live listings, prices, photos and availability exactly as before.
    18. v1.33.1

      August 25, 2026

Mark read (and unread) now sticks

The per-notice read button was toggling the wrong way, so tapping it left the notice as it was. It now works both directions.

      • Tapping Mark read on a single notice actually marks it read and updates the bell.
      • Already-read notices can be flipped back to unread if you want to come back to them later.
    19. v1.33.0

      August 25, 2026

      Notifications you can actually find

The bell now always shows you the unread items it is counting, and every notice has a one-tap Mark read button.

      • If something unread is older than your recent notices, it still appears in the panel — the number on the bell always matches items you can see.
      • Unread notices are marked NEW and stand out from everything you have already read.
      • Mark read sits right on each row instead of being hidden behind the three-dot menu.
      • Mark all read clears the bell straight away, and things that need you stay grouped at the top.
    20. v1.32.0

      August 25, 2026

Standard, Red Bottom and Double Dripped, kept separate

Each version of a release is now tracked completely on its own, and Hunt lets you sort by what you own, want or simply do not collect.

      • Owning a Red Bottom or Double Dripped no longer makes the Standard release look owned, anywhere on the site.
      • Hunt has new lenses: Missing, Owned, Wanted, Ignored and Everything.
      • You can mark a version as one you do not collect, and undo it any time from the Ignored lens — it never counts as owned or wanted.
      • Cards show the Line, Series, vehicle name and the exact version, and always open the matching release or chase page.
    21. v1.31.0

      August 25, 2026

      A cleaner ClubTuned inbox

Every email ClubTuned sends you now arrives in one clean, branded format with the ClubTuned shield at the top.

      • Notices about your listings, ownership matches, orders, connections and your account all share the same polished layout instead of a different look each time.
      • The ClubTuned logo now appears at the top of every email, and each email still reads clearly if your mail app blocks images.
      • Emails are easier to read on a phone, with one obvious button that takes you straight to the exact place on ClubTuned.
      • Every email now includes a plain-text version, which helps it land in your inbox instead of spam.
      • Private message content, offers and other members' contact details are still never included in an email.
    22. v1.30.0

      August 25, 2026

      Share your Wanted ad

Any piece on your wanted list can now be shared as a ClubTuned Wanted poster that points back to the exact version you're hunting.

      • A new Share my Wanted ad action on any piece you're hunting creates a clean poster with the real catalog photo, the vehicle and its exact version.
      • Red Bottom and Double Dripped ads always show and link to that exact chase — never the standard car.
      • Link previews in Facebook groups, texts and direct messages show the poster properly, with copy that says you're looking for the piece rather than selling one.
      • Nothing is published until you turn sharing on for that piece, and your price ceiling and private notes are never included.
      • A withdrawn, private or already-found ad shows a neutral page, so a shared link never reveals what you're hunting privately.
    23. v1.29.0

      August 25, 2026

      What's New page

Every ClubTuned update now has a plain-language release note you can read any time.

      • New What's New page at /whats-new with the version, release date and what actually changed for collectors.
      • The version number in the footer is now a link straight to the release history.
      • Recent major releases are backfilled so the history is useful from day one.
    24. v1.28.0

      August 25, 2026

Who Owns This? and ownership intelligence

Catalog and chase pages now show how many collectors own that exact piece, and hunters can reach owners who choose to be discoverable.

      • Every release and chase page shows an aggregate count of collectors who own that exact Standard, Red Bottom or Double Dripped piece, separate from who is actually discoverable.
      • Reported copies are counted correctly, so duplicates never inflate the collector count.
      • A new ownership discovery setting controls whether other collectors can see that you own a piece and reach out. Existing members were not widened: your setting starts at Connections only.
      • Contacting an owner opens a normal ClubTuned conversation with the exact vehicle attached, clearly marked as an ownership question — never a listing.
      • If a collector is hunting a piece you own privately, you get a single, quiet heads-up with a direct link to the setting. We never reveal who is looking, and we never nag you about the same piece again.
      • When you do open up sharing and the match still stands, both sides are told and given a direct link to the exact vehicle.
      • Email re-engagement for ownership questions, opportunities and matches. No message text, prices or personal details are ever included in an email.
      • Optional sound for new incoming messages, off by default and switchable in Settings.
    25. v1.27.0

      August 25, 2026

      Find collectors by name

Member search now works the way you expect: search a real first and last name and find the collector.

      • People search ranks real names first, with legacy handles still matched as a fallback.
      • Results show only public identity — name, avatar and a short summary — and always respect blocks, bans and privacy settings.
      • View profile, Add Connection and Message actions straight from the results.
      • People you may know now has proper previous and next arrows on desktop, full keyboard support, and swipe still works on touch.
    26. v1.26.0

      August 24, 2026

      Your name is your identity

ClubTuned now leads with your real name instead of a nickname, with a simpler signup and a tidier Settings page.

      • First and last name plus a verified email are now part of your ClubTuned identity, and your name is what other collectors see.
      • Signup is shorter: account, age, then your name. The nickname step is gone.
      • Mobile phone is optional and can be verified by text if you want it.
      • Your account email is shown in Settings with a safe way to change it.
      • Settings are grouped into Profile, Privacy, Notifications, Marketplace and Account instead of duplicate editors.
    27. v1.25.0

      August 24, 2026

      Marketplace inquiries reach the seller

A new Marketplace inquiry now reliably emails the seller so real buyer interest never sits unseen.

      • Sellers get a transactional email for a new inquiry, with a direct link back to the conversation.
      • Emails never contain message text, amounts or personal details.
      • No email is sent while you are already reading that conversation.
      • Message threads now show the collector's public name and the listing being discussed, and never a private name or email address.
    28. v1.24.0

      August 23, 2026

      Marketplace, end to end

Member-to-member deals are live: create listings, make offers and propose trades, with searchable sold history.

      • Listing creation with Marketplace terms, an additive Include trades option and approximate location scoping.
      • Listing-aware messaging plus structured offers and trade proposals.
      • Safety reporting, moderation, and reputation earned from verified ClubTuned deals.
      • Marketplace search across catalog identity, series, lines, variants and sellers, with an availability scope for Available, Sold, Completed or All.
      • Completed deals are kept for research and only ever show the asking price at the time the deal closed — never restated as a confirmed sale price.
      • A $0 fee surface. No platform checkout is offered.
    29. v1.22.0

      August 20, 2026

      Answers reference library

The Answers library and article subject graph now sit on top of a staff-reviewed research queue fed by our own catalog.

      • A daily catalog-gap report proposes editorial opportunities, improvements to existing answers, and catalog data to clean up.
      • Runs are recorded with status and counts, cannot overlap, and only email a digest when something actually changed.
      • Automation can research and propose only — it can never publish content or change the catalog.
    30. v1.18.0

      August 20, 2026

      Share what you're hunting

You can now share the cars you're actively looking for at clubtuned.com/wanted/your-name.

      • Per-item curation and a still hunting confirmation so a shared list stays honest.
      • Sharing is opt-in and can be a public link or Connections only.
      • Shared pages never reveal your notes, price ceilings or contact details. Opted-out, blocked and banned all read as the same closed state.
    31. v1.16.0

      August 19, 2026

      Activity feed

The network Activity feed is live at /activity with stories from collectors you follow and your Connections.

      • A small, closed set of collecting events: acquisitions, completed series, collection milestones, public photos and hunt goals.
      • Stories are grouped so a big haul reads as one story with a count.
      • Privacy is enforced per story type. Following someone never unlocks anything private.
    32. v1.14.0

      August 19, 2026

      Collector profile redesign

Profiles now lead with collector identity, pinned highlights and recent additions.

      • Identity block, pinned highlights, recently added and a for sale or trade module.
      • Profile sharing, plus a site-wide readability pass with better contrast and type scale.
      • Privacy unchanged: stats-only profiles stay item-free and blocks collapse the profile.
    33. v1.13.0

      August 19, 2026

      Follow and Connections

You can now Follow any collector one way, while Connections stay mutual and need both sides to approve.

      • Existing friendships carried over untouched and are simply called Connections now.
      • Member blocking always wins: it removes any follow or connection, hides you from each other, and stops messages and private garage access.
      • Follower and following counts are public; the lists are visible to signed-in members only. Nothing private became visible.
